Service Description
Placenta encapsulation is the process of preparing the mother's placenta after the birth of her baby by dehydrating, grinding and putting it into consumable capsules.
It is believed that placenta encapsulation can help reintroduce the beneficial minerals, vitamins, hormones and other nutrients to a woman's body following labor and birth. It is reported to help with hormonal imbalance, increase milk production, prevent postpartum depression, increase energy levels and more. Benefits are supported by ongoing research but have not been evaluated by the FDA.
There are two methods of which I am able to prepare your placenta for encapsulation, raw (most popular) and traditional. Raw preparation yields more capsules than traditional prep.
Beautifully Created Birth Services Placenta Encapsulation includes:
- Full placenta preparation and encapsulation (usually 80-120 capsules, varies per size of placenta)
- Transport Kit
- Written instructions for recommended dosage and proper storage of finished placenta products.
- Pick up and drop off of placenta and placenta products.
Other placenta products/add ons:
- Tincture: A small piece of your dehydrated placenta is placed into high grade alcohol and made into a tincture. This can be used in addition to or long after your pills are gone and increase the length of time you get to enjoy the benefits.
- Salve: a salve or balm made of your placenta powder and a variety of oils that offers healing properties to perineal tearing, cracked nipples, hemorrhoids, stretch marks, eczema, diaper rash and more.
- Placenta Print: a color print of your placenta to have as a keepsake using food safe gel dye.
- Postpartum Herbal Bath: Herbal blend used to aid in healing of tissues by helping to soothe lacerations, reduce perineal swelling and help with hemorrhoids.
Beautifully Created Birth Services always processes your placenta in the safest environment free of other food, pets and children with OSHA compliant safety measures. Proper refrigeration during storage and transportation are an essential part of the safety protocols.
Only one placenta is worked on at a time. If I have more than one client on the same day, I complete the first placenta, fully disinfect and then begin the second placenta. This process guarantees that your placenta will never be mixed up or cross contaminated.
